Friendly local computer help on the North Wales coast
If you are looking for reliable computer help in North Wales without the jargon or pressure, I provide friendly, patient IT support for people who want things explained clearly and fixed properly.
Based on the north coast of Wales, I offer home computer repairs, upgrades, and advice across the area between Caernarfon and St Asaph, including Anglesey as far as Llangefni. I don’t have a shop — instead, I come to you.
For over 25 years, local people have trusted me to keep their laptops, desktop computers, tablets and phones working smoothly, and I am proud to say that most of my work now comes from word-of-mouth recommendations.
Many problems can be fixed during a home visit, without you needing to unplug anything or travel anywhere. For issues that need more time, I offer a pick-up and drop-off service, so you’re never left struggling.
I take the time to explain things in plain language, at your pace, with no rushing and no judgement.
I can help with all this and more:
- PC & Laptop Repair
- Boot issues (Computer not switching on)
- Upgrades including RAM, SSD / Hard Disk
- iMac and MacBook upgrades and Repairs
- Laptop Screen Replacements
- Laptop Charging Socket and USB Socket Replacement
- Printer setup and troubleshooting
- Internet installation and troubleshooting
- Laptops or PCs overheating
- Networking
- Data Recovery
- Virus, Spyware and Malicious Application Removal
- Laptop Battery replacement (including MacBooks)
- Software & Hardware troubleshooting
Can I deliver my computer to you?
Yes, I don’t have a customer area but if you want to drop your computer off please get in touch and we can arrange a mutually convenient time.
How much do you charge?
I have a minimum charge per job of £30 and this would cover my call out plus a simple fix or some tuition, the one caveat to this is if I don’t fix anything in which case there is no charge at all.
A repair generally costs £60 plus the cost of any parts involved. This includes collection, a quick chat about what needs to be done and then delivery and setup. If a job turns out to be particularly time consuming there may be a small additional charge but I don’t charge an hourly rate because that can get very expensive and I believe in treating people fairly.
How long will it take?
Most repairs take less than around 48 hours, particularly upgrades where standard parts are involved which I either carry in stock or can order for next day delivery. Certain jobs take longer, for example if I need to replace a laptop screen I will need to remove the old screen, make a note of the model number and order a replacement, screens are not standard parts and delivery can take several days. I will be able to give you a rough timeframe once I have assessed the repair.
Local Website Hosting for Small Businesses
In addition to computer support, I also host and look after simple websites for local customers.
These are typically:
- ✓ Business websites and landing pages
- ✓ Portfolio and gallery sites
- ✓ Blogs and personal websites
- ✓ Refreshing or updating your current website
I focus on keeping things running smoothly, rather than complicated features or online shops.
